this piece or this work has no walls. actors were hyped. energy was high. some translations may have been lost. im proud of myself. social experiments. ego identifications. the role of the spectator. the role of the congregant. one job. slow down. take a breath folks. take a beat. control the space and break free from it. are you in church or chrch. you just found out the difference. black women. black women. black women. we can wear du-rags too. we wavy too. immerse immerse. and curse. and leap. feeeeeeeeeel the music within every part of your body. less cues. make intentional. don’t overthink. let go and let God. community is communing. a service. a world that now exists. a world that welcomes. repeat to ensure. fans waving fans. leaving ones body odddy oddy. werk. slow down. slow down. message. breathe. release. gather. dig deep. down inside and outside.
